Working at Emmi

Some things you might love about working with us:

  • We believe a diverse range of skill sets and thinking is what makes our business stronger. We come from all backgrounds and all disciplines, and are all here to leverage our skills to make a positive real world impact

  • Problem solving, all day every day. We are tackling the world’s most complex and pressing issue which means we are faced with new challenges that require solutions on the daily

  • Awesome people, doing awesome things, without taking ourselves too seriously. We love collaborating to solve problems, and try to have as much fun as we can while doing it.

  • We believe in building an organisation that allows our team to grow and learn. We  encourage our team to work with and learn from other areas in the business as much as possible

  • We’re building a business as we go. There’s no better place to get hands-on, real life customer & sales experience and learnings.

Some things you might not love:

  • This is all new. What we are trying to do has never been done before, so a lot of the things we do, we create from scratch

  • No hand holding. You’re going to have a lot of autonomy and sometimes what’s expected of you won’t be crystal clear. We need new ideas and perspectives and for people to take what we’ve got and make it better on their own

  • Sprinting. We are moving very fast, things change on a daily basis it can be hard to keep up and it makes things quite uncertain

  • We will fail at times. We learn the most when we fail, and we are fine with that, we always get back on track and come back bigger and better

  • Everyone is a doer. Even our executive team spend their time getting their hands dirty, we don’t have pure management roles and we don’t want them

  • Feedback is how we learn and challenge is how we improve. To build the best we have to ensure we are all performing at our highest ability and we consider every option on the table.

What else?

  • Work remotely: work from anywhere in Australia, and work completely from home. If you do want to work from an office, we’re happy to find you a desk in one of our co-working spaces.

  • Flexible hours: we’re focused on outcomes, not hours, and have a flexible approach to how we structure our days.

  • Additional annual & personal leave: recharge with access to additional annual leave throughout the year, and access additional personal leave to take the stress out of tough times when they come up.

  • Generous parental leave: our flexible and generous parental leave policy is designed to support any person who becomes a parent in a way that suits them best.

  • Every Emmi team member also has access to volunteering leave, so you can engage in the community causes that matter to you, as well as study leave to work on your learning & development goals.

  • It's important to us to connect in person and have fun together as a team. We try to bring everyone together for an offsite at least every 3 months.

In addition to competitive salaries, we also offer equity in the business, which means our success is your success.
